My version of Ry Cooder's version of Maria Elena... she must have been quite a woman, cos it's a beautiful piece. Thanks for your comments. I should acknowledge the contribution of others to working this out, specifically a guy called Lon Kelly (who I don't know and never met) who put a version of the tab here: http://rycooder.nl/pages/ry_cooder_boomer_story_chords_lyrics.htm#3b. I modified it and the fingering somewhat, but it was the start I needed. Thankyou.

That was really nice--into my "meditation" playlist .I stumbled on it looking for a latino version of for dancing a rumba with my GF-- yours is not suitable for a rumba, but nice to relax to.

@jasmo58 HI James-- That would indeed be very cool, doinga rumba with my lady with a private accompaniment. I'm a romantic at heart, I should pay a musician for that, but I'm too Scottish -ie a tight git!
