My 6 month old baby,Dylan, having a giggle fit when being licked by our rottweiler, Brodie. You can't help but laugh along with him when you watch this video.

I always find, bigger dogs are gentler than little dogs. I think its cuz little dogs have to make up for their size in aggression

@tatsuraj actually, rotties are quite gentle - i had a friend with a rottweiler i used to play with as a kid, and it never hurt me. Toy poodle next door? Tried to bite my knee off.

As for the people who think big dogs don't belong around babies:
A dog is a pack animal. The family is its pack and the dog is the lowest member. The dog sees that the family loves and cherishes the baby. Since the dog wants to please the higher pack members, it will naturally do the same.
