This video demonstrates the tracking of a colored object using RoboRealm for vision. The video begins with simple head tracking. Part way through, the thread controlling the left arm is turned on. This thread is programmed to map the visual coordinates of the target into a shoulder-centered frame of reference so that the arm can be moved to point to the target--the Cartesian coordinates of the hands are mapped to joint angles using the inverse kinematics of the arm. Next, the thread controlling the right arm is turned on so that now both arms track the moving ball.

  • @ALZOMIR Yes, I used the RoboRealm vision software to track color blobs. You can find a full explanation at my website in the blog entry titled "Object Tracking using Visual Filters".
