Sweet Janes origins lie in early 2007. From there they have successfully become one of Irelands most exciting new bands. The last 12 months has seen them tour furiously throughout the UK & Ireland, gaining riveting live reviews and media exposure seeing them appear of on everyones Best of 2008′ & Ones to watch for 2009′ lists.

Shows over the past year have seen them tour with GLASVEGAS, BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, THE KILLS, THE DUKE SPIRIT & A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS

LIVE they could only be described as an energetic roller coaster of sleazy guitars, achingly sexy vocals, topped off with their trade mark droned out dream-pop rock n roll.

In October 2008 their released their debut 5 tracks EP Blackboots & Blackhearts through Dead Flower Records & RMG Distribution, which was recorded in Dublin, Ireland and mixed in Philadelphia, USA by the Asteroid No. 4s very own Ryan Van Kriedt.

Blackboots Blackhearts is currently available from Itunes & apolloaudio.com whilst physical copies are available from Sweet Janes Myspace & Tower Records, Dublin (www.towerrecords.ie)

Sweet Jane are currently knee deep in demo recordings for their first full length studio album due for release towards the end 2009, accompanied with a strong touring schedule to keep them sweetly occupied and content for the forthcoming months.

If you only set your ears on one band this year we recommend that band is SWEET JANE
