This is basically finishing things up a bit. The rest of the repair is basically common sense and some refinishing. I will show the finished product in another video.

  • just tape up the wood before you glue , and leave it on till your nearly finished sanding

  • @colwyn25 That would be a good measure to take, but we are stripping and refinishing this stock anyways.

  • lets see the stock after its been stained and finished i would like to see how hard it is to see the repair

  • that fingerprinting dust idea is the same thing i do with bondo jobs. when you spray it with a lil thing of black spray paint and wipe of the residue. and it shows the lows and highs very nicely

  • What would motivate anybody to click "dislike"?

This is an outstanding video, if I ever come across a problem with a stock, I'll be sure to give this method a try.

  • @webdesigner33 I take care of my stocks, otherwise I would post a video.

  • @nickbownz - I like the people that would like to argue with procedure than end result who don't grace us with a video response. If you think someone is doing something incorrectly, then make a video of your procedure and let people decide which they think is the best. That might be my opinion.

    ignore this fool.

a how-to / step by step video doesnt get any better than this.

you captured my attention, and stayed informative throughout the entire thing.

reminds me of watching the new yankee workshop, only in the south.

and for guns. ^_^ keep up the good work.

  • nice job. I have a similar repair I need to make to my Remington 11-48.

  • Thanks man it was just another way of doing it. thats it.......

  • beautiful job

  • @Iraqveteran8888 yeh I did see the first part, and yes the new format sucks, why the hell do they do this? Nobody likes it!
