Starting July 1 California drivers can be cited for using a cell phone while driving, unless they are using a hands-free kit.

This video features commentary by Las Positas students and includes clarification on the law provided by Livermore Police Sgt. John Hurd and Las Positas College Director of Safety and Security Rich Butler.

  • Hurds a corrupt piece of shit

  • Safety tip even bluetooth (hands free) usage(s) while driving is very dangerous.

  • police surf porn on their computers in their cars!!! gay porn

  • I see police officers talking on cellphone while driving all the time.

  • I'm sure texting came into mind with this new law as well. Please don't even try to argue that texting isn't a problem.

  • this law is bs..u still gona get fatfucks eatin and drivin-.- thas even worse

  • agreed. this law is a joke and a waste of time.

  • Mark my words, the law will prove to be ineffective. The problem is not HOLDING the phone, it's BEING ON the phone. Letting people use hands-free devices is pretty much letting them become distracted without having to hold the physical object. People's hands might not be in "10 and 2" when gripping the steering wheel when talking on the phone but then again there are many drivers that drive with one hand without talking on the phone. The problem is the phone convo distracts your consciousness.
