Why Meditate? by Matthieu Ricard (Hay House)
The French translator for the Dalai Lama since 1989, Matthieu Ricard lives at the Shechen Monastery in Nepal and devotes much of his time to humanitarian projects in Asia (www.karuna-shechen.org) and to the preservation of the Tibetan Buddhism cultural heritage (www.shechen.org). All proceeds from his books and photography are donated to these projects. Website: www.matthieuricard.org
He's got a way of explaining things in a way that makes sense to me rather then other writers whose ideas i find harder to grasp.

Ven Matthieu Ricard"s picture are reflective of his beautiful and contemplative mind. My particular joy is that he wants to educate us to know our own self causing an awakening of our wisdom mind. Thank you. Hope you will come to Sikkim someday.
