How to choose an air filter from AFE. We have three different types of filter medias that we offer. We offer the Pro Dry S which is a dry media. We offer the AFE Pro 5R which is a five layered oil filter, and we also offer the Pro Guard 7 which is a seven layer filter and it is also oil. Choosing what is right for you. If you are looking for the ultimate in convenience, we call our convenience filter our Pro Dry S. The convenience filter from AFE, as I am going to demonstrate for you is the fact that it is a very easy maintenance filter. For cleaning on the Pro Dry filter it is easy. If I want to tap it clean, I am going to take a filter that is already dirty. And for cleaning, as you can see here as I am tapping out particles of the filter. If I tap out this filter, I can get back to an 86 percent restoration of the filter. You can kind of see where we tapped it how it is lighting up again. If I want to get back to a 92 percent restoration, what I am going to do is I can take a vacuum cleaner. I can vacuum this filter out as well. If I want to get back to 100 percent restoration I can use soap and water to clean the filter. And it will go back to 100 percent restoration. It is a convenience filter. 1:21

The second one, if you are looking for the greatest amount of air flow and performance you will use our five layered filter, which is going to be our Pro 5R. This is actually an oil filter as I said. Cleaning on the oil filter from AFE is simple. What we do when it is time for cleaning, you are going to use a solution which we call a restore kit which is a cleaner and actually an oil. The restorer is actually sprayed on there, a solution, when it sets you will rinse it with water. When it comes the time to re oil, you are basically going to take two strands of oil and ring it around the center of the filter like this and set the filter. In a few hours, when you come back you will see that that filter is completely covered because the oil will seep and find its way. One thing I do like to mention is that you do not have to over oil a filter. As you can see this oil filter almost looks dry. 2:24

The Pro Guard 7 is our protection. If you are looking for the ultimate protection in a filter, you are going to use a Pro Guard 7. It is going to be seven layers. It is going to be a cotton filter on the first five levels, then you will see it go down to a synthetic polyester type material on the last two. Each layer of the filter is going to become denser and denser and smaller and smaller. That is the Pro Guard 7. If you want the ultimate in dirt protection, with a 99.5 percent efficiency rating, you will go with the Pro Guard 7. An efficiency rate on a performance for example is a 98.6 versus a dry which is 99.2. So, they are all relatively close but have some different benefits. So very very dusty, street, or street and dust. AFE also offers a pre filter for some people who want to be in a real extreme condition of dust. We do offer the pre filter that you put onto the filter. It comes in yellow, it comes in blue, red and black. It is just a bag cover that can cover the filter and that you can take off when you are out of those conditions. 3:45
