  • Who conducted this ? Isn't it a bit too fast? I have the feeling La Callas is in a hurry and not perfectly together with the orchestra, which she usually is in an uncomparable way!

  • @TheCaroleBeer Carlo-Maria Giulini! The sound track is very bad, but I agree with you.

  • well Iosonocallas im glad someone else knows about Callas as much as i do its great but callas die already

  • @MAPIAKALLAS Of course she died but she's always alive in us and will be immortal for ever!

  • Qui c'e da dire solo le parole di Meneghinni. "TU SEI, LA CALLAS". Avremmo la possibilita di vedere dal vivo qualcosa di simile?

  • @erginakif Feryal Turkoglu has a powerfull voice and she is a wonderful interpreter, but she doesn't reach the level and the greatness of Callas at this time!

  • @MAPIAKALLAS We do. Her name is Feryal Turkoglu and nobody has heard of her, because she's from Turkey. Find her version on YouTube.

  • Grande Maria:-)

  • 11 caproniiiiiiiii

  • @vernadakieleni Maria Callas had a huge voice, very penetrating, the machines back then cound;t take her whole voice and make her sound like she was horrible. Even in her studio recordings you can hear in some parts that the mic hit red!

I know as a musician and an opera singer that when i sing with a low quality mic it makes my voice , in the loud parts, horrible and unstable.

  • No se puede hacer mejor.Gracias

  • actually, this is the slowest version I've heard of this aria...

  • i wish we had singer today that could sing a traviata like callas did so fearless and those great heigh notes bravisima.

  • @vernadakieleni You need to get the wax out of your ears!

  • I love that along with the thick, soaring high notes, she also revels in the low stuff, almost like a contralto - I'm not surprised she was classed as a contralto in the early stages of her singing career, even if it wasn't entirely accurate in the end.
