i wouldn't say he's imitating hoon, he was supposedly a singer and a big hoon fan before joining up with blind melon... if i'm not mistaken he met a couple of the guys by chance and they thought it would be a good idea to have him sing for Blind Melon, so that the music they made with shannon can be enjoyed by us today, sung by the most natural hoon soundalike ever. also they're making new music too, so it's not like they're just leeching off the past. i was at this show and it sounded awesome.
