Two members of Destined to Dance flowed with rhythm and grace as the finale of the Black History Month Celebration Kickoff hosted by Supervisor Sophie Maxwell and Al Williams of the African American Historical and Cultural Society with special greetings by Mayor Gavin Newsom and Supervisor Mirkarimi. LaHitz Media's Jackie Wright captured the dance with a Canon S5-IS. Annual San Francisco program outline:
