Behringer bounces check, leaves me w/fees...the final insult.

I had them remove me as a service center finally a few months ago. In april last year (it's August now) I was given a Bugara 1990 to repair and the intermittent problem exceeded the time they allowed for repair. They then kept telling me they'd come up with a part but never did. EACH TIME I had to call them. They never let me know they couldn't find it.

This went on for months. Mean while I'd fixed a few other things and in trying to file the claims got a runaround. I got a message on my machine that they were going to send me an email with a form and that never showed up. Finally after I told them I was going to do a video they got on deck and sent me a check....however...it was only for the three smaller repairs and not the Bugara! I went ahead and cashed it though and...it bounced! I'd transferred the amount and so it cost me fees for several days til I could get there and an overdraft since I'd transferred the funds confident that surely their check would be good!

Well they tried to waste more of my time telling me how their banking system works or something. As if I care. They wasted my time faxing them the amount for the fees of 35.00 or like that as I recall. And then after more runaround and a promise for checks to be sent out.... days later nothing. I'm trying to get ready for a trip so I said 'well the video's going up' and they immediately fired back a reply that the checks were being sent in a RED ENVELOPE. Ok..got them the next day and hopefully they don't bounce this time.

However...I'm still out the bounce fees from the last one! So hey this video stays up til 1) they pay the fees 2) they pay my time doing this junk...a good hour of my time at least 3) the checks have cleared.

I of course recommend avoiding any interaction with this company until they've shown they want to change.

  • That's some heavy bullshit on their part. No company should ever be this inconsiderate toward their paying customers! Without customers, there is no company and no profit ;)

  • @plasmaforce11 somebody marked your post as spam. No shortage of idiots I guess. I'm not a 'customer'..I'm a service center or..was til I quit. They just waste too much time. I have all the 100/hr work I can do. I do service work as a courtesy to the decent companies... these people have serious issues and I figure I was making maybe 10/hour by the time you figure all the phone time in. Useless.

  • This video would be way more effective if you got to the point quicker. You're rambling too much making it hard to watch.

  • Behringer sucks, the equipment is crap, faulty out of the box, simply overpriced crap. I'm sorry you got suckered into an authorized repair contract, they scammed one of my best friends too. Screw those jerks.

  • Bob, You don't fix Behringers. You recycle them. A German company building everything in China says it all. I regard their stuff as cheap, effective, disposable equipment. I own a 300-watt Behringer bass amp I've had for 8 years with no problems (fingers crossed.) I also own a couple of their little Xenyx mixers, cheap and effective, but disposable. It's why their used equipment sells for about 1/3 of what it sells for new.
