Steve composed this song to support his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives from the 4th Congressional District in Minnesota. He is running against Betty McCollum and Republican Teresa Collett. He announced September 11, 2010 that he will run against incumbent President Barack Obama in 2012.

  • Huffington Post Allow us to introduce you to Steve Carlson, the Independence Party candidate for the Minnesota House seat currently held by Betty McCollum. Steve has produced a six-minute long campaign song that articulates his political grievances and prescriptions. It's kind of a public access television "American Pie."

  • Go to website aolnews.com/surge-desk/article/independence-party-candidate-steve-carlsons-ultra-low-budget-ji/19620744 for AOL review.

  • Shout-out 2 AOL News for review of campaign jingle. Reports major themes: ObamaCare more harm than good, free-market system Slippin', American businesses will pull their weight. Racial equality right, red, brown & yellow, black, tan & white." Bipartisanship. SB1070 unconstitutional, all people got 2 work" Pro-life. Pro-freedom: Surge Desk "digs the tonality & rhythm." Big thanks.

  • The basic idea is sound...but he should probably not play that organ again! LOL

  • @tattoosue Thanks, tattoo. Actually, I do play it on another version at my website. I'll try to do better next time. I'm trying to get a piano. Basically just trying to carry the ideas of Campaign 2010. Thanks for listening! Glad it gave you a chuckle.
