Although my native language is English, I have always found Petula Clark's French-language recordings far more moving than their equivalents in English. The French lyrics to this song are exquisite and even if you don't understand I think she still projects the emotion of the song to great effect.

Sometimes you don't have to understand the words. If It's beautiful, it's beautiful. The song is great in english which was a hit for Mr Perry Como ( I think of you) and Petula singing it in french, just makes you love it more.

Why don't somebody post Petula singing this song in English? Has she never sung it in English? I want so much to hear it! Pleeease! It is nice in French but as she is English speaking originally, so I think it would be so much better in English, n'est-ce pas?
