I see what you mean - this has a heaping shovelful of Tannhauser's Venus that was not present in either (Goethe or Gounod) story. There's some Tannhauser in Faust's character, but whose idea was the scheming, greedy witch?

SCARY! This is not Faust! I've seen Faust performed three times: once at the MET, once in Vienna, & once in San Francisco.
Sorry I don't like modern versions of operas!

Isn't she supposed to sit at a spinning wheel? Strange production. She moves like the wicked queen from Snow white. But that is the dirctotor's fault.

etrange mais c'est la seule qui a compris le sens du bacelet, dommage que dans le jeu de scène elle porte dejç ses deux accessoires, car l'intensité de ce moment elle l'avait.
