Two things viewers should do if they really want to ice skate:
1.) Buy some skates with good support - rental skates are generally not good!
2.) Make sure you get them sharpened by someone that knows what they are doing at the rink! First time I went ice skating, after being a pretty good roller skater, I didn't know I had to sharpen the new skates and I couldn't do anything!

It's not that easy, especially when you're first starting. You're using your core a lot to simply stay stable. However you've got to keep learning harder moves once you master the easy ones to keep challenging your body.

Thanks ladies for keeping it real! This reminded me of my first lesson (or three!) Anyone watching this that is thinking of taking up ice-skating my advice for what it's worth, buy hockey boots - no toe picks, don't forget to keep the blades sharp and remember to check the baking instructions to make them fit better! Good luck :-)

ok...ppl who never skate dont realize that they are missing the point....this girl obviously is new to skating......skating is an art and the key to it is using your body primarily your legs..use the blade to push across the rink.. bend those knees and push...ppl walk when they try skating and thats a major fail.....bad habits usually form if not properly instructed

1. this lady isnt tone herself so shes not one to take advice nevermind give it. 2. shes horrible skater, first drill is called sculling and its 101 and shes horrible. best exercise is to just get out there and skate correctly, just do laps for duration of half hour and once cardio is there work up to longer.

When I was 14 and 15 I roller skated and the only a few times till 45. That was last winter when I started Ice skating. By my second weekend I was doing forward cross overs. At the end of the second winter I'm working on backware storking and 3-turn.
Roller skating is very close to ice skating. So, Roller skate in summer and Ice skating will be much eaiser. Oh, start riding a bicycle and get up to 5,000 miles+ and skating will be much easier.

seems like the skates of the girl in beige isn't tied tightly, thats why she wobbles...
i think the reason why she's wobbly so much is partly because of her skates, it look soo loose. o.o

I agree! Bailey's skates were very wobbly, I think both pairs could use some blades getting sharpened...
