Unokubi katana review for United Backyard Cutters

An inspection and review of my new Unokubi katana
Overall I am very happy with this sword. The key things, which are blade and tsuka integrity, are premium on this sword. If you bought one to use as a cutter you are going to be very happy with it.
I can honestly say that as far as the way this katana is made in reference to the tsuka core, and the fit of the tsuka to the extra long tang, it is one of the best made swords I own. This thing is very solid and is exactly what it was supposed to be, which was a good quality cutter at an economical price. The way the price was kept down at the forge was to use rubber same instead of real ray skin, and mediocre-quality fucki,kashira and menuki. Where the quality really shines is in all the important areas like a great blade and very well made tsuka core and tight ito.

Does it make noise when you slash down with it?

@RaiAntou This blade does have some tachikaze, but it isn't as prominent as a blade with a full bi-hi.

@Jeeperrandy Thanks, Thats one of the reasons I chose to have mine customised. =) I like the idea nobody els in the world has the same one though they can still have somthing similar if they wish. Anyway glad you liked it and hope to see any new swords or knives you have or may be getting. =)

In the lastten years, sword quality has gone way up while prices have gone way down. There are some really great swords available these days at very low prices. The sword over my left shoulder at the beginning is just a carbon steel, functional Highlaner katana. It's just decoration. The one on the rake over my shoulder at the end ( green actually ) is the United Backyard Cutters limited edition Custom katana.
