Lost and Found

Washington, DC faces a growing mentally ill and homeless population. The mentally ill homeless are unemployed, often unemployable, uninsured and destitute. We follow Nellie and David as they get in contact with a programme that strives to assist them and stabilise their day to day living. The Washington programme for mentally ill includes traditional outreach, drug courts that are funnelling minor offenders into treatment instead of jail and a housing model that could effectively get them off the streets.
