....the original version that I remember Uncle Mac used to play on "Childrens Favourites" back in the 50's, despite the static crackles it's still magic to hear!

  • This was my dear Gran's favourite as well as my own,I too am 64 now,and I still love it no matter how many times I hear it,Louis Alberto de Parana, hope I spelled his name correctly?} are an everlasting memory, thank you, muchas gracias,Murray

  • My Dad's favorite piece of music. He introduced me to it when I was about 6. We had it on a 78 record and I played it so often I wore it out. It's been with me now for 50 years and will stay with me till I die. It reminds me of my Dad every time I hear it.

  • So great to hear this.I am also now 61,I remember hearing it on the radio and loving it even then, and it still sounds great, what a way of playing an instrument. I am going to listen to it again and again......all alone ...thankyou....

  • This was one of my Dad's favourite, he bought this as a single in around 1960 also and we were brought up with it. Even though I have heard this many times in my lifetime, it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand. Very few songs do that now. It makes me wish I could play the harp like this. Love it..
