  • @marctrainor777: Well-said, the nose-in-the-air crowd in some jazz circles maintain western swing musicians don't know jazz or their axes. Guys like Buddy and Phil put the lie to that prejudice. Kudos to this big band for being open-minded. The results are worth it.

  • Thanks For Sharing this Video and replying to my comment. This is great Music I just Love this kind of Music.and Buddy what more can i say.

  • @Wn8ief The whole ensemble is tops. Maybe the Mancini Jazz portion of his full orchestra as as well as Mancini's full orchestra may have been better, but that is almost apples and oranges. Almost. Add Buddy to any great band and you have the master of the C6 neck as well as the E9. I used to go see Baugh and Mancini years back when I played horn in a state champion stage band. What happened to great music like this?

  • Calling Emmons and Phil "Country" musicians is a blatant misrepresentation. These guys could play anything.

  • Wow, what a tasty solo by Phil, and all the guys played "in the pocket". The definition of professional.

  • MIGAWD how can it possbly get any better'n this????

  • Great Music on the Steel just goes to show that Jazz can be p;ayed on any instrument. The Guitar Player is awesome.Buddy your the best

  • Wow, love steel pedal, love it even MORE when its jazzed up! Thanks for posting!

  • The band Buddy's playing with is the Lawton Kicks Jazz Ensemble, my old band from Lawton, Oklahoma and the first professional band I'd played with! Thanks for the video and the memories, Earl!

  • Who say's pedal steel can "should only be in a country music band". Go get em Buddy! Marc Trainor.
