@paddis3: More than 200+ people died in the Christchurch quake...the News reporters didn't wait for the rubble to be cleared to discover those who had died. It takes days and weeks after a quake to finally have the true number of deceased. Example, Japan...the number of dead keeps going up...now over 10,000 dead and 16,000 missing now.

my poor city got wrecked but im glad no one was killed, waking up to this was scary stuff but at first i didnt realise what was going on, i was one of the lucky ones who still had power and a good water supply, its been over 48 hours and still havin aftershocks. definetly wasnt something i was expecting

@Yunginspirit there were two quakes. This one, in September 2010, no one died. Then Feb 2011, 160+ people died.

we live near the beach and i was sooo scared of a tsunami so me and mum fled our home to see the damage the quake had caused was everwhere
