Caves House in Yallingyup, W.A is a beautiful pub.
I painted here on a sunny sunday afternoon to begin the festivities for the Yallingyup Surf Film Festival.
The aim was to celebrate 10 years for Surf Aid and all their amazing dedication and work, and also to raise some funds.
There was a live band playing in the background that occupied everyone with music, together with myself occupying the crowds eyes with my painting.
My little world i could observe everyone in silence as i drowned out the outside noise to filling my head with my favourite tunes.
I quite like the thought that people can take what they like from a painting, conjuring up some sort of reasoning or speculation about the state of mind or emotion the artist could have been in at the present time.
In my humble opinion, that's what the beauty, magic and mystery of a piece of art is all about.
i can see that maybe that's a significant portion of why art can be so expensive, especially when the respected artist dies.
I find the magic of a painting can stir up something within us that makes us consider buying it, and sometimes for a phenomenal price.
I love getting lost in my music and going into a painting with no idea, and watching it develop as i go along.
if it brings joy to someone..i'm stoked!
A life dabbled in art, music, nature and passions of all sorts, is a life thats key to happiness i believe.
fuck off slut.
