2008 Old-Time Piano Championship - Ethan Uslan

Highlights of the 2008 Old-Time Piano Championship held Memorial Day weekend at the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria, IL. Ethan Uslan of Charlotte, North Carolina playing "The Blue Danube Waltz" whose theme was composed by Johann Strauss II. Ethan was last year's champion and placed 2nd in the Regular Division competition for 2008.

I thot I would try this one again because I too love the "Dance of the Blue Danube" and also the Schulz-Evler classical transcription. And, I am fond of Uslan's "I'm Gonna Charleston Back To Charleston", especially the one on his CD, and other Uslan arrangements. However, his arrangement here of "The Blue Danube Waltz" is not going into my "Keepers".. The playing is superb, of course.
