The Accurate Super Mario World Medley (Part 1)

I saw VGPianoMan's medley of all the Super Mario World songs and I thought I could do a better job, so here it is. I don't think I'm as good a pianist as him, but judge for yourself how much more accurate my renditions are. Like him, these are all completely learned by ear with no sheet music. I learned and recorded all the pieces in this part of the medley in 1 day. I ran out of time for recording, so I'll learn the rest sometime next week. I'm particularly proud of the Koopa Kids Battle theme, on which I spent about 4 hours listening, transcribing, and practicing.

sorry but the castle theme isn't accurate(not that it doesn't sound great!). But if you want accurate try listening to the song half speed(via movie maker, audacity, etc.). I will upload my version and I am going exactly as it sounds. for accuracy of course.

I appreciate you taking the time to record and post this video. In my defense, I unfortunately rushed through learning these pieces and inevitably traded quantity for quality. Despite your lack of technique, I thoroughly enjoyed your renditions for their accuracy (obviously the intention of this video).

In particular, I was very impressed with your Title Theme, Castle, Koopa Kids, Castle Victory and Overworld 2. I didn't feel like your others lived up to the bragging :)

Personally, I think this video gets boring after the Castle section is done. Maybe for Part 2 I'll just do the ones that I can make sound good.

@elysium735 Nvm, found it on Newgrounds. The LTTP Hyrule Castle theme is orgasm-worthy, as is the SMRPG Forest theme. *drools*

@mrEarsMD, sorry for ranting about this guy on your vid like that :P. If it's any consolation, your Koopa Kid theme is the best I've heard on piano. Your technique may not be perfect, but it's miles ahead of mine. Thanks for the post.

Who the hell is this VGpianoman guy, why is he so elusive, and is he really as good as all these comments I keep seeing are leading me to believe.

I've heard he's done Beware the Forest Mushrooms, now A Mario Medley, and a bunch of other shit that I really want to fuckin' see! Someone tell me who this guy is and where I can find his videos. I've tried Google! I've tried YouTube! I don't care if it makes me a noob, I just need someone to tell me where to find this talented motherfucker!
