I've got a '66 GMC same engine same carb. I pulled a 22' car trailer with a lifted 3/4ton V10 dodge up some steep hills to get his truck home. I always say it might take 1 minute to get thru a 1/4 mile but it will do it empty or loaded beyond reason.

@teeter1939 The law can also pull you over because they're bored. I've been stopped 3 times in the last 2 months, never for a real reason. Not speeding. Lights on and working. Tires are good. Seatbelts on, all the way around. I never got a ticket out of it (because I wasn't doing anything wrong), but it's hard to keep your attitude in check when you know johnny law is just looking for a reason to be a dink. "Hey, there's a totally average white van out at night. I'm gonna stop him 'cause I can."

Nice to have such a truck as daily driver... here in Europe it's to hard to use them daily.

It's nice to see old trucks that are still put to work.

Nice ride. I own a 64 Belair, replaced the 3 speed column shifter with a Turbo 350 non overdrive. I miss the sound of the inline revving up and dropping after a shift.

i had 12,000 pounds of scrap iron on my car trailer and an IMPALA laid acrossed the box of my 66 3/4 ton. Now that was a load. The guy at the scrap yard was impressed.

that was a cool video, but why would you get pulled over? Your not doing anything illegal.

The law can pull over a truck for being overloaded since it is a safety hazard. Breaking an axle or blowing out a tire can cause a wreck or worse.
