  • I think Victoria is the best Rosina I have ever known. She is soooo charming!

It is a shame that I am too young to know her...

  • Oh,how I agree with you. Thanks for posting this to me,and you are correct,I know it,and I have it !! I've rarely read strong criticisms of her.The Rosina is perfection.

  • LA MEJOR ROSINA !!!

  • Such beauty...her phrasing, with its soft cascading brilliance, is heartwarming. Such control, and fullness of tone, one of my all time favourite sopranos. This is one of my favourite performances of this aria...I also love Bartoli's, but there's no use in quibbling on about which is better. It just depends, on who I'm in the mood to listen to at any particular time.

  • What a voice my Lord...!

  • I didn't thought it was possible that I would have loved an interpretation of Rosina more then Berganza's one!

    Now my list is:

    1. Victoria de los Angeles

    2.Teresa Berganza

    3. Lucia Valentini Terrani

    Victoria is really amazing!

  • Brava!

  • What a voice AND what a musical personality - perfect in this role.

  • Best.

  • I like this, despite the ho hum set and costume, because she doesn't over decorate and she does a great job of acting with just the fan for a prop. This will still be great 200 years from now.

  • my two favorite sopranos for this aria, VDLA and Maria Callas.

    WOW!!!

I love this version as much as Callas singing it.

Though both are so different. it's like two different arias.

Yes, I admire Kanawa's voice very much. It's just that some singers like de los Angeles and Nilsson have a way of making the music their own by the uniqueness of their vocal instruments. I've never heard anthing like those two ladies,. Not to say that I do not admire Kanawa very, very much as I do Tebaldi.
