Chinto is the last official kata to learn in Wado-Ryu. Of all the kata (Japanese has no plural form) Otsuka learned from Funakoshi Gichin, he selected nine (Pinan one through five, Kushanku, Nainhanchi, Seishan, and Chinto) to be part of the Wado style. He felt that these nine had all the basic techniques in all the other kata and no need for learning all the other kata. Kata is basics and each kata usually has at least one technique that can be used in actual combat.

I am currently learning Chinto and am really enjoying it!

Hironori Ohtsuka was the world's most honored martial artist.

@Machiasusama ,his techniques are old but timeless. Some of us have seen this style almost bleed to death.

@rikimaruhatake, That is the funniest comparison I have ever heard. Two completely different styles & time.

you're an idiot with no respect
I don't know what you guys are doing but this sounds like a conversation of teasing kid, not adult men en deffinitly not karate men. Karate is about respect, not about calling eachother trash, gay and all that kind of stuff. It doesn't matter what kind of karate you practise. No style is the best. It is just you yourself that has to give karate it's wings and make it work! So, no matter wich grandmaster was 'better or worse'. That was their personal matter... So please show some respect. OSS!
