This video demonstrates the Canon EOS 5D Mark II's ability to perform as a camcorder replacement on vacation. Using this camera allowed me not to have to take a separate video camera. I shot this all in automatic mode, and, as you can see, it performed very well. In low light conditions, I was disappointed with the color noise (particularly red). But with a better lens (mine was an f/4 lens), this may have been less of an issue.

  • You did a good job on this! Great Editing! Great Filming! A camera like that must cost a fortune!

  • @Chicago10281 Thanks! A little over $3,000...

  • what kind of lens did you use

  • This was all done with the kit lens (f/4 zoom lens).

  • wow during illuminations how did you get so close to that fireworks barge near the finale

  • We booked a Grand Gathering for that night that included an International Dinner Buffet and then a viewing of Illuminations from a special reserved area. We also taped it from another location a few days before. That's how we got two camera views near the end!
