I bought the bowls at the dollar store. You can crush the silica gel cat litter with a hammer first and then crush it finer using the "mortar and pestle." Soak the silica gel cat litter in water to soften it and then pour off the water. As you grind the silica gel to a fine, fine powder the water will evaporate and won't affect the functioning of the powder. The powder has to be very fine in order to stick to the bedbugs properly.
Find your own method to crush the silica gel to a powder. Just make a little powder every day and sprinkle it around as noted in my other videos. The bedbugs will be under control immediately and exterminated within a couple of weeks. You will have lots of cat litter left over so use it to help a friend with bedbug problems.

I noticed that they use silicon dioxide in Nestea iced tea powder. I think they use it in cereal and other foods to absorb moisture. I think the silicon dioxide in food and drink powders is silica gel. There is a video on Youtube where the cat eats a piece of silica gel. Silica gel is not toxic they even add it to food.
Plain old everyday sand, ground to a fine powder, may be enough to kill bedbugs. Get some beach sand or from the hardware store and grind it up and put it in a container with a few bedbugs and see if it kills them. I would try it myself but there is not a single bedbug left in our house.
Killing fruit flies are my new obsession. The darned bedbugs were too easy to get rid of. Now, getting totally rid of fruit flies, THAT is a real problem. Don't listen to those exaggerators who spew off at the mouth and tell you bedbugs are hard to exterminate. They only want your hard-earned cash to fill their wallets. We barely did anything and where are the bedbugs? Nowhere to be found. Not even a single one. After only two weeks. Difficult to get rid of, my butt ! They bite you and freak you out (I felt them even when they weren't biting me)but are vunerable to something not much different from plain old everyday sand; silica gel powder.
Why the heck try to find the eggs or destroy them you are not going to find them, they are everywhere. Just let them hatch even if they are in your bed. The powder you put around your bed will stick to them and kill them. The damn things run around everywhere, not just in the bed. If you find them on your bed you are lucky. The worst place is in your clothes, bag and purse as you walk out the door. And that is where you will find them. If you feel itchy while sitting at your desk you know what it is.Just be sure to strip off your clothes in the bathroom and not in the middle of the office. Anyone who has or had bedbugs know this nightmare. Don't waste your time laundering everything it is a BIG WASTE OF TIME. Steaming is A WASTE OF TIME.
Start bumping and grinding your own powders. Help spread this gospel. Thanks.
I think (in other words I am not perfectly certain if it works) you can use the silica gel powder also to dehydrate flowers. Put some in a container on the bottom. Sprinkle the flowers with powder. Put the flower in the container close it and wait a week. See the internet about flower drying. Use to crush makeup seeds pigments campden tablets herbs spices solid seed nut peanut chalk stone necklace chemical

  • I have to give Jackcarpendersax his do because I fought for 5 months using everything I could find to get rid of the bed bugs. I even used Bed bug bully a most effective contact killer and it still didn't work as good as this has.

To any one suffering from bed bugs this is your lucky day. Your troubles will be over soon for a wopping 10 bucks.

Just be patient and do not change your sleeping habits because they will just come after you where ever you sleep. Use yourself as the bait and kill thm

  • Thanks Stevensmth25 your comment is the best so far. And to everyone of you suffering, I am so glad to help. "a wopping 10 bucks", Haha. I should pay you for the good laugh.

  • Cool!

  • I have to admit that I should have done better videos but I have been really busy developing my homemade beer recipes. Thanks for your support. I appreciate the fact that you see the value of the videos. You are so right when you say that people may have to eat their words. If they have experienced the horror of bedbugs then they would be appreciative that people out there are willing to try to help others for free. I have nothing to gain. I am glad you care for your enemy. 4000% Wow!!

  • Your video has helped many a desperate person from what I can see. People may say it's stupid but they haven't been plagued with bedbugs eh. With the reported infestations going upm over 4000% percent across the globe your critics may have to eat their woods or get eaten alive by bed bugs he,he,he.

It's been a long 5 month battle that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and that's the truth

  • All I know is that it seems to be working well now that I laid the second application that was much finer than the first time.

The diotomaceous earth cuts into their exoskelaton slowly drying them out from the wounds but with the silica gels absorbsion effects it makes the silica do it's job even quicker . Try experimenting with a 2/3 mix of silica gel and 1/3 diotomaceous earth. I learned that it's already used for wasps that hide in roof shingles and wood siding and is very effective.

  • Silica gel is harmless if breathed. It is not crystaline and does no harm. If you breathe it you will just spit it out as phlegm. It will do no harm to the lungs because it is amorphous. The blender will not create a fine enough powder. The diatomaceous earth is very fine but esentially it is the same as finely powdered silica gel.

  • I think the Diotomaceous earth helped to add a better stickiness also . The blender powdered quite a bit well enough but it wasn't having the effects I had hoped the first time.

I think this the best solution I found yet but you should warn people that although silica is not harmful in crystal form the powder can do serious harm to ones lungs if breathed in. Using a face mask when working with it is provably a smart thing.

Thank again.I'll let you know how things go

  • Don't worry it will work. Just be sure it is as fine as white flour. Before you know it you will miss them. You will miss the thrill of battle.
