In January of 2006 a unit of Marines returned home from a deployment in Afghanistan. Four of their brothers did not return home alive. This is their memorial service. I have never seen anything like it before. I went with a reporter, but I decided that a reporters' voice would take away from the true feeling of the ceremony so I decided to edit the package and let the marines tell the story in their own words. I really love this piece.

  • Fuck you all who dislike. I dont give a shit if you dont like the Marines. Im in the Army and hate everytime i see one of my brothers die. Thats disrespectful to those boys who gave their lives.

  • "To watch the courageous Afghan freedom fighters battle modern arsenals with simple hand-held weapons is an inspiration to those who love freedom. Their courage teaches us a great lesson — that there are things in this world worth defending.” – Ronald Reagan, 21 March 1983

  • @ingy0704 I totally agree. Don't disrespect any fallen comrade for giving their lives to our country. Be respectful when making your comments and think about what if this video was about you, your parent, your spouse, your kid, etc....what would you say?

  • Semper Fi! I'm retired Army, hoorah. Thanks for you selfless service and may you find peace. God bless and keep you!

  • who agrees that we need 10 bullets and an ar-15.

  • I made that comment 6 months ago. I still dont see why people dislike this video. This video isnt about what the war is about, why we are over there. Its to remember that people are giving their lives to a cause they believe in.

  • @gfimadcat they dont only protect the American people, they also protect the innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. look at what happened 4 days after they pulled out of Iraq, the damn suicide bombers attacked in the city and killed civilians. They are there to protect people.

  • 2/3 would go.....semper fi Marines.
