Last night I invited Ian Malcolm, Tim Burton, and Johnny Depp over for dinner. At one point Tim started talking about his latest remake, Alice in Wonderland 3D, and then Dr. Malcolm shook his head and mumbled "no, no, no."

I realized that he was probably going to say what I wish that everyone was saying, so I told everyone at the table to freeze and then ran out of the room.

Once I got back I was happy to find out that they'd all frozen like I asked them to and then I started filming Ian with a camera that I'd left the room to find.

This is what he said immediately after they all unfroze.

That's me at the end, having handed my camera over to Tim Burton in order to film my reaction.

Johnny Depp was quiet and pleasant the whole night but it felt like he didn't really want to be there.

For dessert I offered Tim Burton some of my ambrosia salad, but instead he made a feeble gesture and ate one hundred thousand dollars.

  • Ug, Ian can be a real ball-buster. I have him over frequently too, and although everyone enjoys his company to a point, sometimes these outbursts can cast a pall over the evening.

  • Ya gotta get Ian on morphine thats when the fun begins.

  • And ironically enough, JP is also an adaptation.

  • @sanjuro4 Technically Alice isn't a remake, it's an adaptation, but the video still works (except when he says "scientific.")

  • @sanjuro4

    Wait what? What about Beetlejuice?

  • This is great. All Burton does is remake stuff. Why doesn't he tackle an original screenplay for once? (I have to say Ed Wood was good though, that was ages ago)

  • must go faster

  • I like to see him telling that to Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin for their Godzilla movie.

  • ha ha very funny dickhead
