tso is all lights and effects, no musical talent, come on all thats not necessary, yea u said don't judge it by a 17 sec video, but thats what u posted and u put "crazy awesome violin" n thats not what it is, this is crazy lights, while a guys playing violin, lol. .

(Yeah, because I was really at a concert with the main goal of getting epic videos for YouTube *rolls eyes*... kiiiinda too busy enjoying an epic concert, as they rocked the house. The violin WAS crazy awesome, though this video doesn't do any of it justice, of course.)

@bphatboyjohn123 Musically they are great. My whole family is classically trained on an instrument and we all love TSO, who are also all classically trained. That being said, they're going for a more *fun* audience and not a ...snobby... one.

Ya know it just dawned on me.... He plays a total of 7 notes. I have never played a violin in my life, and I guarantee I could play what I just heard in a week of practice ...tops. Listen closely and its not " all that ". SMOKE AND MIRRORS !!

@ROCKcritic101 Oh man, did not even realize there was a lame internet debate going on in my video. Sure, you could play the same notes in the SHORT 17-second clip I just shared! But would you have his technique, confidence, or stage presence? No. TSO is an amazing band, and Mark Wood is an amazing violinist. Do some research before judging a musician's entirety off of a 17-second video on YouTube. No real critic would do such an ignorant thing. (Maybe cause your'e not a real critic! lol)

Isn't a *real* band? Don't write their own stuff?

*Sigh*... do some research. TSO is a real band that writes their own music. For touring they split the band into 2 groups and hire musicians to fill in where needed. And they aren't all just studio musicians, and if they were, who cares? Many of the best musicians in the world you've never heard of because they just do studio work... and can play anything and everything. I'd rather see them then many big name bands who are less talented.

Wow, do rock critics use the word 'dumbasses' in their "major publication" offerings? And yes, I know they didn't write "Carol of the Bells" and certainly they didn't pen the traditional Christmas songs, but their arrangements of those songs are quite good (with a lot of original attributes) and they have plenty of original songs that they wrote themselves. And yes, I am a musician... not a professional, but at least I am playing music and not just writing about it.

@Metallicaguy91 i never said anyone didn't like or buy their records. lol. i said they aren't close to as musically talented as other symphony orchestra's. well maybe most, yeah lady gaga and lil wayne sells, doesn't mean their good, means they got good managment and can reach people. w effects, lights, and the media. just like tso. .

@bphatboyjohn123 there are plenty of people who buy Tso records every year. So assuming there records sell the way they do I am pretty sure many people must enjoy their music. The live concert and effects are just a bonus. If you do not like them then that is okay. that is your opinion and I can respect that. But don't come on here typing ignorant opinions like they make them fact. Talent is with the eye of the beholder.

@soadfreak313 im not snobby i just don't like people getting more credit than deserved because weak minded people are blinded by effects rather than the actually music, take all the effects n lights away and put a spotlight on that guy, see if anyone cheers, lol. youll probably be the only one lol.

@bphatboyjohn123 Spooky, because I was thinking just what you posted, right before I read the post. TSO does an awesome light show, but it distracts from the music, which can be overly synthetic, and makes people think that the music is better than it is. I do like some of their stuff, but also dislike a heck of a lot.
