One last note, Halloween and Friday The 13th are way different films. They only share a murderer-on-the-loose premises. One takes place in the suburbs, the other in the woods and Jason looks much different than Michael. An obsessed psychiatrist tracks Michael while no-one tracks Jason until part four and it's the brother of one of Jason's victims. Not to mention how different their faces are.

Yeah, I liked the TCM remakes, but the original TCM is superior because of it's raw effect.

I would have to say that the most successful horror movie remake was the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It delivered as it should. Not much suspense was needed like the original. The intense and crazy killings was exactly what the film needed to create a better picture of the story. The original was scary indeed, but the remake was sort of an enhanced version of the graphic nature of the film. Halloween is a different outlook at horror..the suspenseful side. Making Rob's version a whole new look.

Exactly, i liked the remake for TCM quite alot.
Shame RZ Halloween didn't really have suspense...

Good review. Also thank you for recommendung this before watching nightmare on elm street, as I'm a sucker for good evil characters, and so, I'd be going, on, I liked nightmare better.. you know?
Anyway, yes, congrats on cool review.
