  • @reea333 I thought the exact same thing the first time I heard the theme! My kids even asked me if it was Tom Waits and they only know him by osmosis.

  • @grylosx And I've been stepping on the devil's tail Across the stripes of full moon's head Through the bars of a Cuban jail Bloody fingers on a purple knife A flamingo drinking from a cocktail glass I'm on the lawn with someone else's wife Come admire the view from up on top of the mast Yellow sheets in Hong Kong bed Stazybo horn and a Singerland ride To the carnival is what she said A hundred dollars makes it dark inside. Repeat First Verse and Chorus
  • Edna Million in a drop dead suit Dutch pink on a downtown train Two dollar pistol but the gun won't shoot I'm in the corner in the pouring rain 16 men on a deadman's chest And I've been drinking from a broken cup 2 pairs of pants and a mohair vest I'm full of bourbon; I can't stand up. Hey little bird, fly away home Your house is on fire; your children are alone Hey little bird, fly away home Your house is on fire; your children are alone Schiffer broke a bottle on Morgan's head
  • If I ever owned a tropical brothel, it would play nothing but Tom Waits.

  • I'm full of burbon and can't stand up...

  • So, when I was 4 years old my dad would always drive me to pre-school, and every morning I would insist that he put this song on, a few years ago, when I rediscovered Tom Waits I heard this song and I was like... Whoa, I was a smart 4 year old.

  • @snoozypops No, it's not. It's a rearrangement of it, apparently composed by Jonathan Whitehead.

  • @Thrashtildeath1 Ok, Captain Obvious, I got it. What bothered me was the fact that, at the risk of repeating myself, according to the credits, the theme song belongs to Jonathan Whitehead Also, I am aware of the similarities between the chords used in this particular genre... but I still think that Tom Waits has a specific sound, a darker one. :)
