The greatest Dalila of our time, SHE can take it this slow- how mesmerizing it is! Is that Gergiev on the podium I think?. SO gorgeous you just don't want it to ever end!
@ShamusMacGuffin "Fabulous" is the appropriate word even though I think there are not enough superlatives to describe my supreme idol's art. About Callas and Ponselle, I read somewhere that being in New York in her prime youth, Maria used to listen to the radio broadcast performances of Rosa, her ear stuck on the radio ?
@PonselleLover Mmm, Rosa Ponselle was FABULOUS. Strangely enough, even though she was compared to Rosa, Maria Callas had never heard Rosa's singing until later in her career. They must've been cut from the same cloth without ever knowing it.
@StarRaft I completely desagree :) The voice of Maria was unique, and very particular...Olga here is wonderful, and in her own répertoire....

@muatlas
you are right. callas never had the gorgeous tone that borodina has. callas was an amazing singer, but a beautiful voice she did not have.

Cannot be compared to Callas's performance, but quite beautiful none-the-less.
