The mad scientist is a parody of film noir great Peter Lorre and this cartoon was created before Steve Buscemi was even born. It's a shame those movies are hardly ever seen any more. He was in a classic dark comedy called 'Arsenic and Old Lace' that is as funny today as it was 60 years ago.
