French Fishtail Braided Intricately Woven Updo

This look was something requested by a fellow youtube-er (cyexquisite/Connie) wayyyy back when. I saw a similar picture on pinterest and really fell in love with it so I knew I had to do a tutorial based on it sooner or later. I'm so sorry it took me forever to actually get to it.

The original picture just used a regular parting straight down the back, but I felt like a zigzag part would make the look more elegant and less childish as the zigzags help conceal the scalp. It is an optional step, but highly recommended. Also, I called it an "intricately woven updo", when it's simply a braid wrapped around another but I felt that the braids themselves created a very intricate detail resembling a delicate woven look.
