Majora's Mask Glitches - Fierce Diety Link outside of Boss Rooms without Sakon's Hideout

(Feel free to correct me on anything that you think is incorrect about this glitch. I want this description to be as accurate as possible.)

EDIT: LOL, I guess I'm not the first one to do this kind of glitch. There's videos about this everywhere....still, I'm not deleting this vid considering the time and effort I put into it....

Wow, is this ever old hat. This glitch dates back to the original game for the Nintendo 64, even. But YouTube + Free Time = Shadow's Wrath eventually makes a video, so here we all are regardless.

First off, I'd like to say that this glitch only works for the N64 version of the game, along with the Wii Virtual Console version of it. The glitch does not exist in the Gamecube version of it. (From the Zelda Collector's Edition disc.) Why? I have no idea. I'm no genius when it comes to this stuff. I play the games, I don't code or make them.

There IS a Gamecube Action Replay code to use any item anywhere in any form, though. I've tried it and it basically allows you to put the Fierce Diety's Mask on outside of Boss battles, along with other cool stuff. I haven't had any problems with it so far. It's a reliable code, so I'll post it for you.

To start off with the glitch, I sugggest prepping for being Fierce Diety Link. That usually means getting infinite magic via a chug of Chateau Romani milk, which you can only get in the game by having the Romani's Mask from the Romani subplot and going in the Milk Bar in Clock Town once it's 10:00 pm on the first (or second) night. (Costs 200 rupees) This is done so you don't run out of magic power when firing off Fierce Diety Link's sword projectiles, as you'll be stuck in this form for the remainder of the three days. (Or till you shut off your Majora's Mask game.)

You'll also need 10 rupees to play the horse racing game with the Gorman Brothers, of which you'll be intentionally losing. But I'm getting ahead of myself...time for the step by step process.

You'll need:
1. Access to Clock Town Milk Bar after 10:00 pm on the 1st and 2nd nights with the Romani's Mask. (optional, but suggested)
2. 10 rupees if you ignored step 1, 210 if you didn't.
3. Epona.
4. An activated Milk Road Owl Statue.
5. The Fierce Diety's Mask set as a C-Item.
6. Access to the Gorman Brothers racing minigame, which only is available during the 1st and 2nd mornings.

First, start off in Clock Town with the necessary items. Go outside through the Clock Town exit that leads to the swamp. Call Epona. Then ride to the Milk Road Owl Statue. WITHOUT GETTING OFF EPONA, L (or Z, if you're old school) Target the owl statue and save your game using it. Then go back into the same save file WITHOUT TURNING OFF YOUR GAME.

Congrats. You've now made it possible to use ANY of your C-Items on Epona. That doesn't mean that the item will WORK well, it just means that they're available now.

There's one problem still remaining though. If you use the Fierce Diety's Mask while still on Epona, you'll automatically go into your manual bow aim screen and be unable to get out of it. So to make sure that doesn't happen, let's fix that now.

(On a side note, you can also try this glitch with the Giant's Mask and other items to see interesting results. If you use the Giant's Mask while still on Epona, Link will attempt the transformation and fail, floating in mid-air while Epona keeps running. You'll have full control of Epona while Link spazzes out for the rest of the game's duration. Even better, time and all enemies will stop in their tracks. RUN FREE EPONA!!! RUN FREEEEEE!!!!!)

Now without getting off Epona, ride into the Gorman Ranch. Challenge them to a race and start mashing the button or stick direction the Fierce Diety's Mask equiped to. Once you transform, stop pressing it. You won't be able to do anything for the rest of the race, and you'll have to listen to a very annoying noise for a short while. The Gorman Brothers will win, rub it in your face and you'll be Fierce Diety Link outside of Boss rooms, OFF Epona, and most importantly, HAVE TIME TO ENJOY IT WITH.

There ARE side effects though. (Not permanant.) If you enter Clock Town like I did in the vid, you'll be stuck inside there due to the fact that the guard will think you're a Deku Link (or something else in the game's coding) and won't let you pass. Also, to the best of my knowledge, you cant use your Ocarina while in Fierce Diety form, thus taking away warping out of the town as an option. You also shouldn't talk to any of the Bomber Gang kids; you'll be stuck in a conversation that'll never end. This is probably because they also do a check to see which form Link is in, and there's probably no response for when they talk to Fierce Diety Link. At least, that's MY theory, anyway.

Yup. Your Virtual Console game was prolly was a port of the original Majora's Mask for the N64. Count yourself lucky then, you have the game with all it's glorious glitches to exploit.

This true but it requires a fair amount of skill and timing to perform. This doesn't.

There's another glitch in the game that allows you tgo do this involving Sakon's Hideout. Trouble is, it doesn't give you much time to enjoy being Fierce Diety Link. This glitch here allows you more time to goof off and enjoy it.

There's also another glitch that involves the Zora Mask that allows you to do this, but you need a bit of skill to pull it off. (Or at least from what I've seen viually. I've never tried it...)

I think you can get out of clock town but it may not work - if you have seen how to get out of clock town right back when u were cursed as a deku scrub, you could face away from the guard and walk backwards inbetween the guard and the wall and squeeze past. At that point when u enter termina field as a deku, there are no enimies. Hope this sorta helps... nice video btw =D
