I always thought Cheryl Studer was an extremely underatted singer. As far as this role goes, she is easily on the best and far superior to voigt (just my opinion so sorry for those who love her).

she graduated from musuc school in Vienna, and strated her career as german lied singer in Austria. her understanding of german piece is really authentic and superb. nothing differnt from those of german-austrian nationality. and developted her career to Italy. her career and studying is very european than American..

WHAT EVER became of Cheryl Studer? Did she immigrate over to Europe?

What a terrible casting! What a sorry excuse for a singer!

My ears hurt when listening as Eva Marton's voice cracks in the beginning of just about every note, especially the high ones. Same with Marton in Salome. OK filming.

Eine überzeugende Inszinierung von Harry Kupfer! Eva Marton einfach genial.

That's a fantastic performance. I'm seeing this opera tonight for the first time. I'm familiar with Salome but not Elektra. Can't wait to see it live.
