  • ...and sitting there typing that is going to achieve...?

I've got news for you: they don't care about your opinion; the politicians, the activists and especially the anarchists.

  • how effective was this? is the building still there? Is the company still there? If so, I guess you'll have to do it again.

  • EDO used to have two buildings in Brighton, then they sold out to ITT (who supplied Hitler in world war II), and ITT recently closed one of the buildings. It is overwhelmingly likely they did this because of the debt EDO MBM had conjured up over 4 years and thus it is also even more likely they will close the last building in Brighton, especially fter this one might think. Its important to remember that things don't change over night, they take months even years to take effect sometimes.

  • To allI those slating the efforts of smash edo I would like to ask exactly what your passion is. These people have took the time and trouble to travel the country passing on their message and point of view. You have to give them credit not only for their protest but their ability and committment to the right of the individuals to join together to voice their discomfort at the shit that happens in this world. I had hoped to be there but could not make it and in some ways

  • we started all masked up because we knew the FIT team were coming. they are the 'Forward Intelligence Team' they attempt to harass everyone by filming them and then fitting them up for being organisers of an illegal demo etc., its unnecessary bullshit so everyones faces covered eliminated the problem, as simon says: no to police cameras, yes to carnival!

Some came 'prepared to' becuase we expected to be brutally repressed so we wanted to be able to withstand it, and we did.

  • Im not sure if you simply typed the first thing you thought of but in years to come you may look back on this comment and realise how foolish it was.

  • also i must add that i think the police should be armed with MP40 machine guns and have death head badges and march all this scum out of Brighton up the downs to some nice new trenches and massacre them all,

  • Personally i dont give a shit about Iraq Gaza or any rag head country for that matter..i do agree we should shut EDO and invest the money in bigger nukes and drop them on Palistiene and get the job done quiker and for good.

  • Grow up, dnHooligan, you sad little speck. I am drunk and would like a fight.

My mate got injured in your crappy little protest. You smell funny, Petermacquire.

I fricken LOVE the Mail, me. I eat my chips out of the Guardian.

  • you're equating the making of bombs to drop on innocent peoples to the acts of these protesters? Get a clue.

  • First you're saying you think direct action (which I thought you were making in relation to the video) only causes clashes between police and protesters, I had chip in there and now you're changing your tune, saying it's attention seeking rubbish. The SmashEDO campaign has been very positive, the cops are scared for a reason. Of course if you think dropping bombs on innocent people is okey dokey...But hey, I'm happy to hear you out, what is attention seeking about this particular direct action?

  • Criticism and confrontation are fine and dandy. Attention seeking rubbish like this is not!

  • I think you're wrong here friend. The reason police react so badly to direct action is because they realise that it has and does achieve results. The state and the police are of course most comfortable when things are non-confrontational, non-violent because it/they know that historically it has done little. What I'm saying is that criticism and confrontation are the key to change.

  • I dont see any particular violence from either side although the police look terrified. I wonder why they are so scared? Im ot personally a fan of direct action, it doesnt really achieve anything except usually making the cause secondary to clashes between police and protesters. All this smash the state stuff is slightly childish there are real ways to deal with stuff and they extend further than clever slogans.

  • Violence....you're just as bad as EDOMBM are. You lost a lot of support after that 'peaceful protest'.
