First AMV ever ;) About dear old Mandarin Ducks XD
NOTES!
- Drakes are the colourful ones, hens are the brownish/grey
- 0.45 is a Blonde/Apricot Mandarin Drake
- 0.50 and 2.05 are Drakes in eclipse plumage
- 1.15 is a Black Mandarin Drake
- 1.45 is a Mandarin Drake with one Wood Duck Drake and 2 Wood Duck Hens
- 2.20 some White Mandarin Drakes
- 2.25 in case it's hard to read, it just names the different types of Mandarin plus my own hen Pepper.
- 2.30 onwards are photos of my hen Pepper (she is a Normal Mandarin) =D
- Probably all other Mandarins are Normal type, but I may have missed some. :)

Thank you very much. I'm totally in love with Mandarin ducks (not so much with Katy Perry!) and I have kept them on and off for 20years. I have to say that your Pepper is absolutely stunningly beautiful - she has such a pretty face and looks like a real character to boot.
May I ask how you manage keeping her indoors? What about 'hygene' issues and the fact that Mandarins are naturally very nervy with people? She's not pinioned, so was she hand-reared?

@MrTrowell I'm glad you liked the video! She sure is a character, very confident and quite a bossy little bird, haha!
Pepper doesn't live indoors, sadly! We have an aviary with a small pond where they stay, but she likes to come inside to bath& sit on me in the living room. I just put out plastic bags to avoid mess! Cat brought her in as a chick& I raised her myself, so she's very friendly& lets anyone stroke her but may just be her nature.
I share the passion! Do you keep them at the moment?

@bexbabe09023 The hens are noisier than the drakes, but they are fairly quiet if they aren't excited. They respond when you talk to them ;) The hens cluck like chickens (why I sometimes call Pepper 'Chicky') but drakes do a quiet whistle sound that's very cute!! :D
