Mini CNC X/Y table from CD Drives 1

This is my first test of a CNC type X Y table made from old
computer parts. The table is made from lens assemblies from CD Rom Drives and
the controllers for the stepper motors are boards from scrap floppy drives,
there are still some kinks to iron out. I am using the parallel port to drive
the stepper motor controllers and a simple program written in QBasic. For more info check out http://sparktronics.blogspot.com

older cdroms was with stepper motors, in modern is used dc. I have one with stepper motor like in floppy drive

cd rom drives don't have stepper motors.

The motors in my cd rom are dc motors, not stepper motors. You found steppers in yours?

have you some information about the steppers for me ??? how many steps per round ? 1mm per round ???
