The Great Movie Ride located in the MGM Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The video was taken while on vacation from 11/25/06 until 12/2/06.

Many of the props in the lobby of the theater are authentic, such as the carousel horse from Mary Poppins.

Gene Kelly inspected his AA likeness personally.

Ingrid Bergman's daughter Isabella Rosselini has brought her children to this attraction to see their grandmother in the Casablanca scene.

The entire Great Movie Ride attraction covers 95,000 square feet.

The trams in this attraction can hold approximately 70 passengers.

This attraction is frequently the target of rumors saying that it will be replaced or significantly redesigned. As one of the original attractions in the Disney-MGM Studios, the ride can use some updating, but no official announcements regarding any changes have been made to date.

I remeber this ride from both cars. Except a girl gangster took the car. In the car in the front a cowboy/cowgirl takes over the car, just to let you know if you never got to be in the front car.

I have been to walt disney world several times and have had the chance to ride in both cars however that is an interesting fact for someone that did not get a chance to experience both versions of the ride.

after going on all of the hardcore rollercoasters, simulation rides, and even cheesy rides at all disney theme parks, and universal studios, this is still my favorite ride in florida. :)

this is one of the best rides there. there is just always a really really long line. But at least that means it's still popular and they won't close it.

Know what's awesome? MGM owns rights to 'Alien', Species' AND Stargate! They should combine the franchises for a ride on its own!

When I went on this ride back in '07, the alien part broke down, so the alien leaning down from the ceiling was stuck right between my sister and mom. My sister now hates that ride XD

When I went from the 4th of nov. 2009 to the 6th I had the most AMAZING actors! They were AMAZING!! They did the accents, fear, surprise, courage, and everything PERFECTLY some kid acutally freaked out when she stepped off and disappeared for the other girl to get on (it was both girls went I went) and the gunshots went off LOVED this ride!! <33 But by these vids on youtube it ends up looking extremely boring and lame but in real life it rocked. IF you have good actors, which here, you don't.

I remember when this opened, it was really cool. But last time I went a couple years ago, it seemed kinda run down. The interacting "actors" were really awful and unenthusiastic.

Apparently the figures on the footlight parade scene used to move and there was water cannons, i'm 15 and never remember seeing that

i liked this ride a lot, even the line you have to wait in was really cool, like the chinese theater part...apart from the couple making out in the car in front of me (is this really the ideal location?) i found it very enjoyable
