why does netplay mess up the controls? :(
everytime I try to play the game it resets my controls to some kind of standard setting or something, whether im p1 or p2...

i prefer the megadrive version because the 6 buttons controller is better, the music are better , it's more speed when you put max stars and the 4 boss are selectable yet.

how did you go about setting up your netplay? do you use the . inbetween the numbers or not?

We used the virtual LAN program hamachi, then entered the hamachi ip in the netplay connect screen of kega fusion.
IP example is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
The problem may be in your case a lack of port forwarding on the required ports, look to the documentation for help.
