  • this looks weird... but interesting

it looks like he was gonna rape her at the end? o-0

  • This is true. It happens in the original play (albeit ambiguously) but was taken out of the musical version.

  • is this the musical version?

  • No, this is the Wedekind play (hence the rape) in the Edward Bond translation.

  • ok so,

    1) Anna Popplewell is amazing

    2) I performed that music in high school

    3) Spring Awakening <3

probably the best trailer ever haha

  • This surprised me.

We've got Narnia and Spring Awakening...interesting resume to be sure.

  • What's Spring Awakening about?

  • ok, thanks a bunch. i am relieved. you rock anna!

  • i don't think so! its a student play they won't actually do it on stage.

  • no that would be pornography if they were actually doing it. it's very staged and it's stimulated sex...it's definitely not real.

there's a musical adaptation of the play and they just made it look like they were having sex: it's hard to explain how, but Melchior is on top of Wendla and he thrusts his body on her and she moves according to the direction he moves, but their genitals are covered completely.

  • I know in the musical they're not real but I'm not sure about the play. Since it's a school play I am going to say no.

  • no it was a stage production.
