  • I saw this moving film at the Sundance Film Festival in 1989—so many years ago. The presenters had recently discovered it, cleaned it up, and commissioned David Newman to write an original score for it. He conducted the Utah Symphony to play the world premiere live along with the film. What a wonderful, indelible experience! I would love to see this film with live performance again someday.

  • can someone please confirm that this version features the original soundtrack? i've seen it before, so am pretty certain, but need to make absolutely sure, as i am writing a paper on it, and i know that multiple versions have since been released. thanks!
