nhl 10 penalty shot glitch

i was playing nhl 10 and i was tripped so i was awarded a penalty shot and my player was sitting in the air nd when i tried to take my shot nothing happened

My NHL 10 on PS3 does that too so I bought an Xbox and it does the same thing. I guess after a while NHL 10 players need to take a dump
