Ti-Jean et la sorcière de l'île de Chéticamp est une légende qui raconte l'histoire de brave Ti-Jean et son aventure à la recherche de son père et de ses frères. En route, il fait la rencontre de plusieurs personnages intéressants, incluant la sorcière de l'île de Chéticamp.

Ne manquez pas ce merveilleux spectacle de marionettes d'eau présenté à 14h00 et à 20h00 à l'aréna de Chéticamp du 17 au 28 août.

Beginning August 17th at the Chéticamp Arena and running through until August 28th, Le Festival de l'Escaouette offers a water-puppet show that producers have been developing
and honing for more than two years!!

Ti-Jean is ready......are you??

This is a production that involves scores of participants, none of whom you will see. Only the magic of the marionettes will be visible, and much of the story will unfold under black-light conditions. A massive pool is being built to set up in the arena, and in the midst of the pool is Chéticamp island, surrounded by boats and fish and seagulls and puppets (or peoplettes). There's a witch, naturally, who threatens to curse the people and the island, and there's the oversized and colorful water puppet, Ti-Jean.

This is a show for everyone to enjoy, but if you have a child handy, your enjoyment will probably be doubled by the giddy thrill children are certain to get as they watch the magic of the puppets and wonder of the production.
Ti-Jean et la sorcière de l'île de Chéticamp will be presented twice a day at 2pm and at 8pm from August 17-28.
