should all society be fat? Then would it be OK for fat people to feel better about their hang ups about being fat. This argument is full of tears everyone not living in a 3rd world country or homeless has some sort of privilege This is a fucking GAY ARGUMENT AND MAKES ME FUCKING DEPRESSED TO BE A WOMAN. ALL YOU FAGGOTS CARE ABOUT IS LOOKS WHEN U CLAIM YOU DON'T CARE.

Girls who aren't even fat get called "fatass" too. People are just cruel.

Something else- you're totally right that you're not the enemy! It sucks from both sides to be judged because of your physical appearance, it's not right or fair, but it happens and if we want things to change we've got to realise that we are fighting the same fight. I don't think we need to be so dualistic about it and feel like we are taking 'sides'. I've been both a chubby girl and a thin girl and I was miserable no matter what I looked like because I thought I wasn't worth anything. You do

Um, as a fat person, I DO have people at work saying "Hey Fatass".

You do not understand the concept of privilege. You should really only speak about a topic if you are actually educated in it. Also, why are you shooting this video in a car.....and with such an odd accent?

I strongly disagree with your views about thin privilege having no practical meaning. History has shown that it is only when the privileged truly acknowledge their position and stand up for others does real change start to happen. As a slim-bodied female, with fair skin and no noticeable ailments, I receive privileges and positive feedback from society every day. As females, we experience our bodies as being public images for others to comment on and judge. I think people with disordered eating

@IWannaBe120 Really? Thousands? I would like to know one long term sucess. I was slim untill I was 22, them a health problem made me gain 30 kg. Allthough I exercise (just like I used to) and eat a balanced, ealthy diet, my weight does not go down. If I restrict calory income what happens is that I get permanetly drousy and tired, my doctor says my body prefers to shut me down than to acess fat deposit...yeah. It's kind of hard to manage a career being permanently drowsy, you know?

Well, I was thin until I had a health problem at age 22 and got plus 30 kilos that I was never able to loose, not even with 2 daily hours in the gymn for 2 years straigh. My life got unbelievebly worse in terms of social bullying and it really is unbelievebly harder to go through life under premanent fire. And I used to think just like you. Dont get me wrong, I am the best person I can be, and I don't usually complaint, I just live my life, but it really, really is so much harder now.

"So what? What do we do with that?"
Pretty much nothing, except blog about how much guilt you feel over your "privilege." That and lament how we don't all live in Vonnegut's world of "Harrison Bergeron".
"White privilege" is about serious gaps in socioeconomic equality in the U.S. and a great way to illustrate why a minority is at a disadvantage in getting ahead right from the start. Every other form of "privilege" seems to be about filling Tumblr pages and spreading the guilt.
@arrie25afl
Why shouldn't they "feel better about themself" (sic). What gives you the right to decide who is good enough for basic human rights and who isn't?

Wow! This is insane! When is the world going to stop getting so caught up in "size"?!? I have been on BOTH ends of this coin...in 2000, I was 198 lbs...my highest. I went most of my life bingingand then B&P with restricting and was always on the "larger" size. After my MVA I stopped eating altogether. I've been fighting anorexia ever since. (I'm going Inpatient for the 3rd time within the next couple of month as my weight is in the 90's. The crazy thing? My family STILL makes comments... con't
