  • Yes, but people don't care. You think that's bad? Try working in the Bible Belt where people think if they only tip God 10%...why should a server get more?

  • Soo glad the restaurant I work at doesn't have a happy hour! Customers think it's expensive anyways and don't want to fully tip, let alone if we had happy hour. There would be %10 everywhere. But I always make sure to tip extra if I go out for Happy Hour, because a lot of the places I go to are HELLA cheap. Usually I go %50, even if I get crappy service.

  • @mmr11027 Ouch really? Im from Texas (the buckle of the Bible Belt) and I've never heard of any assgasket using an excuse like that.

They really need to be told God doesnt live off "tips"?

  • NO MORE TAX ON TIPS!!!!!! AND NO MORE BULLSHIT TIPPING BEFORE TAX!!!! FUCK OFFFFFFF!!!!!!!

  • Such an embarrassing situation: My sister and her best friend came in for dinner at my restaurant one night. I was working in the bakery and not serving, so I had my buddy wait on them. Long story short, he gave them my 30% discount and their bill ended up being $20. Her friend picked up the tab and tipped my friend... $3. 3 fucking dollars. After saving $10?! Needless to say I made up the difference for my co-worker but I was mortified!

Rule of thumb? ALWAYS tip 20% on the ORIGINAL total!

  • @jaymeez

Not for anything, but servers/bartenders can make some good money. He probably makes more in a week than u do in a month. Stop being ignorant.

  • A tip a tip atip a tip a tip atip atip a tip atip a tip....GROWWRRRLLWR LEAVE ME 20 PERCENT

  • Your rants surprisingly make me feel less angry. Thanks :) and I take the advice to heart. Even though I don't go out on my own since I'm in the process of learning how to drive XD

  • @bigspook999 The restaurant might not be losing money, but the soul who had the misfortune of waiting on you *IS* losing money! We don't get paid a full hourly wage. We pay our bills with your tips. In addition, we do not even receive the full amount. A good percentage gets doled out to others. (Host, Food Runner, Bartender, Busser) As the other person said, stick with Denny's or Taco Cabana. If you're eating at a place that has a check of $45/ person and not tipping you are hated.

  • I <3 Mr. Waiter Man... don't forget your dearest friend Sharece Thomas' video "WHY DA FUCK I GOTTA TIP??"!! I couldn't find your response video when I subscribed! The end of this week's episode started to remind me of it. I wish you'd come out to the east coast sometime. 20% is a bad-service tip, I usually give closer to 30-35%.

  • A server is still providing you the same amount of service regardless of if their restaurant is offering some sort of discount or promotion. You should tip on $50 if you received $50 of service. It's not that difficult. And what's a few extra bucks when you've already saved money on the bill?

  • Long time subscriber, and fellow server here, but I have to disagree. Yes, I'll tip full price if I have a coupon. However, when the restaurant discounts the menu price to everyone, I'm tipping on that. The discounted price may be the only reason they came in, so its a slightly smaller tip, or no tip, your call.
